Icynene’s active participation in residential building code development gives builders across North America confidence that spray foam insulation for homes meets the current building codes.
Residential building code changes occur on a three-year cycle and Icynene participates at each stage of the cycle to ensure that our spray foam insulation products are always in compliance.
Working with residential building code officials
Together with our active involvement in the building code, Icynene works closely with residential building code officials to understand how foam insulation for homes fits in. Engagement with code officials includes:
- multiple presentations throughout the year addressing specific issues relevant to each geographic area
- active participation in code officials’ trade shows to update attendees on products and issues involving spray foam insulation
- responding to enquiries and common questions at events, tradeshows and separately
