Product innovation by Icynene continues to be recognized by peers as the leading spray foam insulation manufacturer receives the 2014 Products Award for Icynene ProSeal™ from industry publication Architectural Record in the Façades category this month.

Icynene ProSeal™ offers an exceptionally high R-value* of R7 per inch and is approved for commercial construction types I-V. The spray foam insulation product’s all-season formulation allows for a higher initial pass of 3” achieving an R-value* of R21.

A jury panel of six industry professionals assessed and selected the best new products of the year from more than 500 entries. Each submission was evaluated based on the criteria of innovation, usefulness, and - where applicable - aesthetics.

“Icynene’s product innovation and development continues to resonate with the building industry. No other spray foam manufacturer matches our drive in developing functional, high-performance spray foam insulation products and we are thrilled that Icynene ProSeal has been recognized by Architectural Record. It is honor to have received this recognition from our peers within the industry,” said Icynene VP Marketing, Betsy Cosper.

The recognition from Architectural Record follows Icynene’s recent 2014 Product Innovation Award from industry publication Architectural Products in the Thermal/Moisture Protection category for its Icynene ProSeal Eco™ insulation product.

* R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. Compare insulation R-values before you buy. There are other factors to consider. The amount of insulation you need depends mainly on the climate you live in. Also, your fuel savings from insulation will depend upon the climate, the type and size of your house, the amount of insulation already in your house, and your fuel use patterns and family size. If you buy too much insulation, it will cost you more than what you'll save on fuel. To get the marked R-value, it is essential that this insulation be installed properly.
