This is what to expect during a spray foam installation

The spray foam installation process in new homes

Your spray foam insulation contractor will explain the process for installation

Step 1

Prior to installation, your spray foam insulation contractor will explain to you that it requires 24 hours for the foam fully cure and suggest that you make plans to be away from the building site during this time.

 

 

Step 2

On the day, contractors will arrive with their equipment and suit up to begin spraying.

Step 3

The insulation contractors will cover any floors, windows, fixtures with plastic. They'll also set up a large fan to promote ventilation.

Step 4

The spray foam is installed throughout the house, expanding 100 times its size upon application.

Recommended to stay off premises for 24 hours after spraying spray foam insulation

Step 5

Upon installation, the spray foam requires 24 hours to fully cure. For your safety, it is recommended not to enter the construction site during this curing period.

Step 6

After 24 hours, your house is properly insulated allowing your general contractor to proceed with the next step in your new home’s construction.
