Ford Dealership, Fort Dodge, Iowa
 | Background Formerly a Target store, this 75,000 square foot building was remodeled and renovated by a local architect firm and transformed into a modern Ford Dealership. A portion of that remodel project involved removing the north masonry wall (the front of the building) and rebuilding with structural steel studs and putting on a façade. Solution/Results The architect contacted the local Icynene Licensed Dealer to spray Icynene® in the 6'' steel stud walls. The owner of the Dealership wanted to use Icynene® because there was a concern about stopping air infiltration, especially with a north facing building that featured an expansive area of glass. The owner was very pleased with the results and was able to measure the performance that winter. Although they had no benchmarking statistics to work from, the showroom was very comfortable.
