The rise in sustainability and active restoration of existing structures to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact is resulting in increased demand for sustainable building products.
Icynene® delivers ideal R-value and air-sealing in one step to upgrade the performance of an existing structure and provide long-term benefits such as reduced energy costs, lower maintenance costs and higher home re-sale value.
Green Remodeling Starts with Tighter Thinking
Icynene® is an insulation and air barrier that injects the latest building technology into an older home to maximize energy efficiency while still preserving its original architectural details. Icynene offers various products for special project needs.
Available Formulations
Icynene® Pour-fill formulation is specially designed for retrofit projects or for closed-wall applications where there is no insulation in the wall. Icynene® Pour-fill formula is applied inside the old wall cavities by drilling one-inch holes in the wall. This formula fills the wall cavity, starting at the bottom and slowly expanding upwards to 60 times its initial volume. Since Icynene® pour-fill formula expands in the direction of least resistance; it will not expand outward and damage the walls. Click here to view pour-fill foam illustration.
For open wall cavities without existing insulation, Icynene® spray formula can be directly installed to fill all voids and gaps and create a seamless barrier against air leakage. Click here to view spray foam illustration.
Taking your remodeling projects one step further in green and sustainable building, new ICYNENE LD-R-50™ is a renewable-based spray foam insulation that offers even greater returns to your green remodeling projects. Click here to learn more about ICYNENE LD-R-50™.
