Carl Seville is a consultant on sustainability to the residential construction industry.  He founded and served as Vice President of SawHorse, Inc, an Atlanta, Georgia design/build firm, for 25 years.  Under Seville's direction, SawHorse constructed the pilot projects for the EarthCraft House Renovation green program and SawHorse continues to construct projects in this program.

One recent EarthCraft Renovation project was the Showcase Home for the Southern Building Show in June 2005, and the subject of several articles in Qualified Remodeler magazine.  This house was also seen on the green building tour for the national Green Building Conference in March 2005.

During his tenure, SawHorse received over 100 industry awards including the 2005 Green Building Advocate of the Year, the 2004 National Green Building Award for Residential Remodeling, and four Excellence in Design Awards from Environmental Design & Construction magazine.  Most recently, he and SawHorse were awarded the "Best Sustainable Practices Award" from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council.

Carl has served on the board of directors of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association and the Atlanta chapter of NARI, and is currently on the Green Building Subcommittee of NAHB, NARI's Green Remodeling Education Committee, and the Editorial Advisory Boards of Professional Remodeling and Atlanta Home Improvement magazines.  He served as the chairman of the committee that developed the EarthCraft House Renovation program during 2001 and 2002.
