NAHB study reveals Energy Efficiency a key factor for home buyers
If the increase in demand for such products wasn’t any indication, energy efficiency has become one of the most important features in a home for home buyers. Results from the recently published “What Home Buyers Really Want” study from the NAHB shows that nine out of ten home buyers would much rather a home equipped with energy-efficient features and lower- utility bills than a home without.
The nationwide study, conducted by NAHB’s Economics and Housing Policy Group in 2012, identified home buyers’ preferences in a home including location, size and features.
The results are a key indicator that energy efficient materials and solutions are becoming increasing popular by home buyers who want efficient, modern homes that are economically smart.
